Any section of cable between a battery +ve terminal and the first fuse is effectively unprotected. If a short develops in this section then the fuse won't experience the excess current so won't blow. These ingenious battery terminal (or cube) fuses solve this problem by mounting directly into a terminal clamp and totally eliminating any unprotected section of cable, giving you maximum protection for your circuits.
The fuse itself consists of metal strip mounted in an insulated ceramic block which is then fitted to a single or double fused battery terminal clamp with an isolation nut, ensuring that all current passes through the fuse and not through the stud of the clamp.
