The Lynx Shunt VE.Can is a module within the Victron Energy Lynx DC distribution system and is an intelligent, fully featured battery monitoring system featuring a 1000A shunt that monitors the state of charge of you battery and can be connected to a Victron GX Device such as the Cerbo GX. It incorporates positive and negative busbars, a battery monitor and fuseholder for the main system fuse (fuse not included).
The Lynx DC distribution system is a modular busbar system that incorporates DC connections, power distribution, fusing and battery monitoring.
The Lynx Shunt VE.Can can be used on its own as a standalone battery monitoring system, or it can be combined just with a Lynx Power In module or just with the Lynx Distributor module, or with both, depending on your needs.
Inside the Lynx Shunt VE.Can there are positive and negative busbars, a shunt and a main system fuse location that can hold a CNN or ANL type fuse. The busbars enable a continuous connection with other connected Lynx modules and the fuse is monitored, turning the power LED red and sending an alarm message to the GX device if it blows. The module also features an alarm relay which can be programmed via a GX device to activate under certain conditions (battery state of charge, battery voltage, battery temperature, blown main system fuse).
If you are using Victron's Lithium Smart Batteries then you will need to use the Lynx Smart BMS (please contact us for availability). Please note that the Lynx Smart BMS is not compatible with any batteries other than the Victron Lithium Smart range.
This unit has a nominal current rating of 1000A for 12V, 24V or 48V systems.
