Small battery box from Durite for safe storage and housing of all battery types.
The maximum size battery that will fit in this box is 270 (L) x 180 (W) mm and up to 225mm in height (to the top of the terminals). This covers most batteries up to around 85Ah capacity.
This box contains any leaks that may occur from open lead-acid batteries and its tough construction protects against accidental damage to the battery and terminal connections. The lid stops debris and dirt building up and, importantly, protects against accidental shorting of the battery terminals.
The box has moulded-in handles for easy carrying and the lid features 8 entry/exit points for cables, allowing a good deal of flexibility in routing your connections. The lid also incorporates vents to allow gases to escape that might build up during charging.
The box comes complete with a buckled retaining strap, mounting loops and fixings for securely holding the box down.

The listing states that it is weatherproof but it is not. It has two vent holes in the top surface of the lid, which can let in rainwater. I am using the box for sealed LiPo battereies, so the ventilation afforded by the cable entry/exit points under edges of the lid is sufficient. So I improved the weatherproofing by taping over the vent holes on the top. Otherwise, it seems to be a good box.
