Waterproof double cable entry gland for feeding cables of 3-7mm diameter through roofs of motorhomes, caravans, boats and buildings.

When used in conjunction with a suitable adhesive/sealant, this gland enables cables to be routed inside vehicles, boats and buildings whilst maintaining a low profile and fully watertight seal against the mounting surface. Whilst its discrete and aesthetically pleasing design makes it ideally suited for use with solar cables on vehicles, it can be used in any application where a waterproof cable entry through a flat surface is needed.

Installation: The base of the housing should be bonded to the mounting surface using an appropriate adhesive/sealant. We recommend preparing the mounting surface and the bottom of the housing with panel wipes or similar to thoroughly degrease them before applying the sealant.

This is a good product but I would have given 5 stars had some instructions been included:- Fitting it was reasonably intuitive but the product included a couple of rubber sleeves for which I couldn't see a purpose when using with 7mm solar panel cables. Some instructions could have helped here.

Given IP68 rating but proof in the pudding, it leaked through the gland to body fitting!!. Therefore, the IP68 rating means little in this instance. I believe this is due to rubber washer less than 1mm thick, should be at least 1.5/2mm thick to form a better seal (as per more expensive versions). I have upgraded plus used some PTFE tape and now ok.
