Overview
The Ekrano GX is Victron's latest generation in the GX product family and its most powerful device to date, combining a multi-functional GX device with a built-in 7 inch waterproof touchscreen that provides you with fully integrated control and monitoring of all your Victron devices, wherever you are. The Ekrano GX is a complete communications centre that can be accessed directly using the touchscreen, through the VictronConnect app via the built-in Wi-Fi Access Point, via LAN or over the web using the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. The Ekrano GX can also be easily integrated into, and accessed via, a Multi Functional Display (MFD) such as found at the helm of a vessel.
Improved, all-in-one design
The Ekrano GX is the successor to the Colour Control GX but it is also worthwhile considering as an alternative to a separate Cerbo GX and GX Touch screen as it offers several advantages. The super-slim integrated touchscreen design offers a waterproof user interface more suited to marine use and eliminates the trailing HDMI cable used in the Cerbo GX and GX Touch combination. The screen can also be disabled using a recessed button on the back to prevent tampering or unauthorised use. Victron has updated the power and relay terminal blocks compared with the Cerbo GX so they are secured in place via screws, meaning they are less likely to be accidentally pulled out or come loose with vibration.
Monitoring & control
Instantly monitor your battery's state of charge, power consumption, power harvest from solar, generator, and mains, or check tank levels and temperature measurements. Easily control the shore power input current limit, (auto)start/stop generator(s) or change any setting to optimise the system. Follow up on alerts, perform diagnostic checks and resolve challenges remotely. The Ekrano GX turns any power challenge into an effortless experience.
The 7 inch touchscreen display allows you to have an instant overview of your system and adjust settings in the blink of an eye, and its super-slim, waterproof design offers a lot of flexibility in designing a crisp and clean dashboard.
Tackles any power challenge
The Ekrano GX serves endless purposes, extending perfect control to the most diverse applications. For solutions including generators, such as Marine, or Offgrid & Backup, it will auto-start/stop your generator, or delay ignition until the end of ‘quiet’ periods. For Energy Storage Systems it keeps backup batteries at 100%, kicks-in during power-cuts and diverts excess (solar) power to self-consumption, saving you money. For RV and emergency vehicles it keeps vital systems function flawlessly.
Flexible mounting & installation
The Ekrano GX is supplied with all required mounting accessories and can be flush panel mounted using the steel bracket and hardware, or blind hole mounted using the strong spring clips. Note that the installation is only waterproof (to IP54) when using the steel bracket mounting as this provides sufficient force to seal fully against the mounting face.
