This USB-A pass-through socket can be used to provide a USB recharging outlet in a bulkhead or panel.

It is fully waterproof to IP67 and the body is made from tough PBT plastic with a nylon cap and silicone sealing ring. It has female USB-A sockets either side and, typically, this socket would take its power from an existing 12V DC-powered USB socket using a USB-A cable.

This pass-through socket can be useful in a couple of applications:

• Where you need full waterproof protection of the socket when not in use (e.g. boat cockpit or the outside of vehicle)
• Where you need a USB recharging point but it's not possible or desirable to run 12V DC power cables to the location

Note: This socket has no voltage conversion built in and needs to be powered from an existing USB power socket.
