With the switch orientated so that the light is at the bottom, connect +12V supply to the top terminal and +12V out to the load to the centre terminal. The bottom terminal connects to earth.

Nice product with a weakness

These swithces look good and have a solid action. Problem is the threaded section. The thread is weak and loose on the retaining ring so it strips easily when tightened manually leaving no option but to bin it or resort to adhesive. Sadly I wouldn't buy it again.
