Perfect for making a few crimps for heavy duty cable. Good results either clamping or with a hammer. You do need more space to use it so not as easy as a professional crimping tool, but for the price, no contest. Well made and a handy spring to hold the work in place while apply pressure.

Very simple and useful tool. I've used this crimper for two months so far, and have nothing but good things to say.

Handy little tool for occasional crimps. Used it in a large vice and worked very well, giving a strong crimp on 16mm cable. Not tried with a hammer yet.

Handy little tool. Used in the vice and it clamped end on like a professional factory job.

For a few good solid crimps this little fella is spot on. Give it a sharp tap with a lump hammer or use a vice for more control. This will last years and come in time again.

Bought this to put crimps on 25mm and 70mm cable (cable cutter, crimps and cable all from 12v Planet) and the whole thing went with no problems at all. I used an arbor press which made light work of forming the crimp. Perfect.

I had never crimped large battery cables before & this tool gave me an economical method of doing so. I watched the 12V Planet video on crimping & then the whole process went smoothly. I used a large vice in my local friendly garage but could have used a mallet instead. Job done! Highly recommended!
Best alternative to a specialised tool

Needed to replace a worn starter cable terminal in our boat, but didn't want to buy a more expensive crimping tool just for this one job. This was the best alternative solution, and it worked just fine. All you need is a hammer and a halfway stable surface to put the tool on.
