The German-made Comet VIP-PLUS submersible water pump is a simple, low cost, but highly effective and reliable pumping solution for campervan, motorhome, caravan & boat water systems.

Quiet and extremely reliable with a low current consumption of 3.8A, this pump can deliver a smooth flow of water at up to 20L per minute and is rated for use with drinking water. It can tolerate being run dry for up to 30 minutes and you can expect many years of trouble-free service with up to 500 hours of running time.

The pump is powered by a 12 volt DC battery supply and is typically turned on/off via a microswitch built into the lever on a dedicated campervan/motorhome tap, such as the Comet Florenz. The microswitch should be wired in series between a fused +12V supply and the brown wire of the pump.

Water connection is via the push-on fitting that accepts 10mm ID (3/8") flexible hose, and we recommend securing with a suitable hose clip.
