The Maxxair Skymaxx PLUS roof light has a built in sunshade and fly screen and fits into a standard 400 x 400mm roof opening, allowing it to be used in new builds or retrofitted in place of an existing roof light in caravans, campervans, motorhomes and horseboxes. This version of the Skymaxx also has LEDs integrated into the interior frame to provide additional roof lighting.
It features a manual lift lid with 3 open positions and the built-in pleated sun shade and fly screen provide multiple shading options. The shade and fly screen retract into opposite sides of the interior frame and allow you to have the roof light fully open, fully shaded, fully screened or any combination of shaded/screened to suit.
Interchangeable panels are supplied that enable you to configure the roof light for vented or non-vented operation. The perforated panels allow air flow into the vehicle even when the roof light lid is closed, whilst the solid panels (recommended for campervans & motorhomes) prevent air flow unless the lid is open.
The Skymaxx PLUS is a simple 3-piece installation consisting of the external roof light, a ceiling flange, and an interior frame. The ceiling flange can accommodate roof thicknesses between 23-60mm without needing to be cut and the roof light is bonded to the roof using a suitable elastic adhesive/sealant. Fixings are provided to suit various roof thicknesses and Maxxair have allowed long cable tails for connecting the LED lights to a 12V DC supply.
