The Dometic CoolMatic CRX50 is an extremely high quality, compact fridge and one of the most popular on the market for campervan and boat installations. Coupling efficient technology with sleek design and a multitude of features, the CRX50 is the 'go to' fridge for many professional and DIY vehicle converters. It can operate from 12V or 24V DC battery systems and is ideal for campervans, motorhomes, boats, caravans, RVs and smaller off-grid applications.

The internal configuration has been cleverly designed for maximum versatility, with a removeable 4.4L freezer compartment enabling you to use it either as a fridge/freezer or just as a fridge. The fridge capacity is 41.2L with the freezer compartment fitted and 45L without. The electronic thermostat, variable speed compressor and low-noise fan ensure high efficiency, whilst the fast cooling function ensures your food is chilled as quickly as possible.

There is a slimline, flush-fitting control panel on the inside of the fridge with soft touch control buttons and an integrated LED light activated by a PIR sensor. The dual function door lock provides 'Lock' and 'Vent' options so the door can be locked shut to prevent accidental opening whilst on the move, or locked in a slightly open position to allow air flow when the fridge is empty and not in use, preventing mould growth and odours.

The CRX50 has an intelligent battery protection feature where it will shut-down if the battery voltage reaches a low level to avoid excessively discharging the battery. It will automatically re-start when the voltage rises again, for example, when a charging source is applied.

Flexible shelving configurations are possible and bottle holder, egg compartment and separate baskets are included.

Compressor fridge motors are sensitive to voltage drop so it's important to ensure that a sufficiently sized cable is used to connect it to the battery. Please refer to the user manual (see Manuals & Guides tab) for the manufacturer's recommended cable size, but it will typically be between 4mm² and 10mm², depending on the run length.
