Description

High quality, rugged, recessed 12V power socket with round profile that has a UV-stabilised rubber cover to make it splash proof when not in use. The cover is tethered with a rubber ring that also provides a seal between the faceplate and mounting surface. Non-corrosive nickel-plated brass contacts make this suitable for use in marine environments or for mounting externally on vehicles (motorbikes, vans, campervans, horseboxes, trucks etc.) to enable easy and convenient access to 12V power.

Accepts cigar lighter plugs and universal plugs.

Requires a 27mm panel hole and is fixed via 3 holes. Power connection is via 2 x 6.3mm blade terminals.

Sold individually. Fixings not supplied.

plugs a tight fit

Bought to add a 12v outlet to my old MG - the unit is well constructed, but the inner -ve "sleeve" contact has an annular ridge which grips the spring contacts on any plug very tightly, making them a bit tough to extract.

Bought 6 of these for a van conversion.
Appear to be very well made, very good fit with all types of socket, and have good seals.

No problems with quality or design but would be helpful if fixings were supplied. The countersinks are small and finding the right stainless screws is proving very difficult.
