Nice solid looking lamp, after reading other reviews I realised that mine was probably a one off, however the bendy stem was very stiff and not fixed well to the base. As soon as it was fixed down and with minimum force it just tore out of the nave and ruined the thread, hence I asked for an refund which I received quicky and without any hassle! Shame because it is a nice product and 12v planet are great to deal with!

This is a well made piece of equipment which produces a warm even light, ideal for its intended purpose

Replaced an older 12v osram halogen chart light with this. Base fixing uses same holes, trailing wires somewhat thicker. Unit appears good quality with nice switch, and thick powder coating on flexible arm. Much brighter than olde halogen device, but still local task light spread. Can't speak for longevity as only just installed, but confident so far
