160W highly durable, lightweight, black semi-flexible solar panel reinforced with anodised aluminium and featuring a strong ETFE surface. Made from German monocrystalline solar cells designed to get the most out of low light conditions, this panel can still produce a good amount of power even when not in direct sunlight.
This highly efficient panel is ideal for slightly curved roofs and surfaces where bonding is preferable (though the panel can also be fixed by bolts or screws). High resistance to saltwater environments and the ability to be walked on make it perfect for boats and yachts although it is also perfectly suited to static applications, such as in off-grid systems, or for use on vehicles such as campervans, motorhomes, caravans and 4x4s.
This solar panel has a unique 7-layer construction with an embedded sheet of anodised aluminium fully encapsulated within the panel that offers greater reinforcement and resilience. The surface is made of a strong ETFE material that has a longer service life compared to standard semi-flexible solar panels and offers excellent durability and high-temperature resistance. These design features mean that this panel is extremely hard-wearing and less prone to cracking, delamination and corrosion, making it one of the most robust semi-flexible panels on the market. The panel also features a lightly textured coating that creates an anti-reflective surface and allows it to absorb a far greater amount of light, making for greater efficiency.
This solar panel has a unique black backing, making it ideal for discreet installations on dark coloured roofs or mounting surfaces. This panel features a round junction box and cable on the rear side of the panel to create a completely level surface and professional finish after installation. Unlike other solar panels, the junction box on this solar panel is a circular shape with only one dual core cable (3m length) attached, allowing for simplified installation.
Note: In order for this panel to be flush-mounted, a hole must be cut into the roof/surface to accept the junctions box. This panel must be used with a suitable solar charge controller and not connected directly to a battery.
