Oceanflex 6.0mm² high temperature thin wall marine grade cable with tinned copper conductors, particularly suited to marine and other environments where copper corrosion is a problem.
This cable has the same specification as our plain copper thin wall cable, except that the copper conductors have been coated with tin for corrosion resistance. Thin Wall insulation provides significant weight and volume savings, particularly in large wiring harnesses, and the hard grade insulation provides good protection against abrasion damage and cut-through. It has good resistance to fuels (petrol & diesel), oils and dilute acids and a very high resistance to moisture.

I used this cable as a 3 pole power outlet from a new stator on my motorbike. The cables on the previous stator were not very good, with a smaller cross section than ideal, and had deteriorated due to weathering, causing resistance and melting the connector to the rectifier . These carry the power more effectively, and make for more robust connections. I used thistogether with braided sleeving for a neat result. This has produced the best charging I have seen on this bike since I bought it.

I’ve been installing extra higher power systems in my 13m boat eg big axial ventilation fans and high capacity bilge pumps. The cable runs are long and go through a hot engine room, so the cable needs to be higher ampacity. This cable spec is ideal as it is tinned for areas prone to airborne salt, somewhat stiff and thin so it can be moused through conduits and good conductors so it will accept quality crimped connectors. Overall, much better quality than you find in the average chandlers.
