Description

This high-quality, intelligent 3-stage battery charger from UK manufacturer Rovert Electrical will keep your deep-cycle leisure battery in prime condition and prolong its life whilst connected to mains power on-site or at home. It offers fully automatic charging so you can leave it connected without damaging your battery and it is capable of charging traditional wet lead-acid batteries as well as AGM and Gel batteries.  It can also recover 'dead' batteries that have been discharged to a low voltage and which might otherwise have to be replaced. An additional feature of this charger is that it can be used as a Power Supply Unit (PSU) to directly power 12V appliances whilst connected to mains and it has in-built protection against short-circuit, over-current and thermal overload. There is an output to connect a remote LED to indicate charging status and the case has 4 holes for mounting to a flat surface (horizontal or vertical mounting).

Please note:  Battery connection leads are not included but we recommend using 4mm2 thin wall cable with 6.3mm fully insulated female blade terminals to connect to the charger.  This unit is not fitted with a 3-pin plug as it is intended to be hard-wired into a consumer unit, but one can be used if required.

Recommended for leisure batteries with a capacity in the range of 150 - 200Ah.

Further information

As a rule of thumb the charging rate for your battery should be somewhere between 10-13% of its Ah rating, so this charger is recommended for a battery of around 150-200Ah capacity. A smaller charger can be used but re-charging will take longer.

Bought this to replace an overheating BCA charger in my camper van. Very easy to wire up as long as you have the correct size dc spade terminals. Seems to generate very little heat so good for confined spaces, although still needs some ventilation. Excellent service from 12 Volt Planet. Ordered it Monday, arrived Tuesday.

Rovert batter charger

This is an excellent product. I have hard wired it into my boat and it charges a 200 Ahr Leisure battery. I can monitor what is happening on a NASA battery monitor and it is the first time I have been able to fully charge the battery. The charger is barely warm when charging and does not cut out like other chargers I have used.

Solar panels are great when the Sun shines, but in the UK that can be rare and our 3 battery's on the boat couldn't keep up with the demands of the Fridge!
After I installed this excellent charger, no more problems! It performs silently and recovered our tired batteries easily.

I purchased this charger to replace a BCA charger fitted as OE in my Bailey Senator Louisiana 2006MY. I also took the opportunity to re-site the charger to provide improved ventilation. Charger is exceptionally well made and does a great job

Bought to replace a 110v version on an import. Looks very robust, charges well and great support and customer service to suggest other bits required (as I have no idea on electrics).
This is an excellent shop, recommended.
