I bought this to replace older battery cable which had fewer, thicker, strands. The difference was delightful.
I had intended to solder this cable to terminals, but was not able to do so. Despite the cable being tinned, the solder did not wet it. I tried both lead and lead-free solder, with flux and without. My heat source was a bunsen burner, which can be much hotter than needed to melt solder, and which resulted in damage to the cable insulation. So after a few unsuccessful attempts I bought a small crimping anvil and that worked perfectly.
